Our Sakura bar soap pays homage to the “Hanami”. Hanami is the ancient tradition of going to enjoy the blooming of cherry blossoms (sakura) in parks and throughout the countryside in Japan. Hanami or “flower viewing” is celebrated late March through early May and  consists of having an outdoor party beneath the sakura during daytime or at night. The drinking of Sake is tied to the celebration of the Hanami,and so we infuse our Sakura Bar Soaps with Sake to honor this 1000 year old tradition.
